HealthGate Survey on Structured Asynchronous Collaboration within Healthcare Systems

Most hospitals are already using a number of synchronous collaboration technologies, such as real-time meeting tools and teleconferencing products like WebEx, e-mail list servs and blogs.

Asynchronous collaboration and content management technologies is however just starting to take hold in hospitals around the country. As we move beyond such tools, and even from meetings that require physical attendance, asynchronous collaboration technologies help drive new, efficient processes that gain easy participation from multiple stakeholders from multiple locations at multiple times.
